ABOUT THE SCHEME
Sadanlal Sanwaldas Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj was selected under Strengthening Component of Star College Scheme of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India in 2019-20. The Star College Scheme has provided financial support to three science departments (Botany, Chemistry and Zoology) for improving science teaching at undergraduate level. Students of B. Sc. I, B. Sc. II and B. Sc. III are the beneficiaries of this scheme.
OBJECTIVES OF STAR COLLEGE SCHEME
- To strengthen the academic and physical infrastructure for excellence in teaching and training.
- To enhance quality of learning and teaching through hands-on exposure.
- To provide better library facility to students and teachers.
- To promote networking with neighbouring institutions and laboratories.
- To increase capabilities of core instrumentation resources.
- To help in devising standard curricula and SOPs/kits for practicals.
DBT support received by our college has resulted in increased participation in various activities, better laboratory setup and involvement of faculty in academic and research work.
