Education always plays an important role in the all-round development of human beings as well as the nation. S.S. Khanna Girls' Degree College, Allahabad was established in 1975 and has gradually developed from a small beginning into a reputed institution.

he subject of Office Management and Secretarial Practices is available to the students as optional subjects in the Degree Course even though this subject is not available in the University of Allahabad. The College has an ideal academic atmosphere, free from all extraneous disturbances. It seeks to make the student composition as pleural, diverse and representative in character as possible to foster liberal access to higher education for human and The activities of the college are designed to fall in line with its vision, mission and objectives of its founders. The array of programmes and activities like Seminars, Workshops, Guest Faculty Lecture, Quiz, Documentary Film Presentation etc. are organized by different Cells and Parishads which serve to make our girl students intellectually alert, morally upright, religiously oriented, socially conscious, culturally distinct and nationally integrated. Education in this college empowers the girls to think clearly, to act well in the world's work and gives them the power to appreciate life and face challenges.

Title : History Association
History Association of S. S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj organized an Online Quiz Competition on the occasion of Independence Day to celebrate Bharat Amrit Mahotsav, From 3rd August 2021 to 15th August 2021.
Faculty members, researchers, and students from different institutes of India participated in this quiz. A total of 1752 participants registered for the activity.

Department of Ancient History, Culture & Archaeology, S. S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College organised a lecture on the topic “Ajanta Caves: A Historical Narrative” on 23.01.2021 from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM.
The guest speaker for the occasion was Prof. P.D. Jagtap, Former HoD, Dept. of History, North Maharashtra University, Maharashtra.
The speaker was accorded a formal welcome by Dr. Meenu Agrawal, Convener and Associate Professor, Department of Ancient History, Culture & Archaeology, who also proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was moderated by Dr. Nishi Seth and Ms. Priyanka Gupta, Assistant Professors, Dept. of Ancient History, Culture & Archaeology.
Prof. Jagtap expressed his views on Ajanta Caves in such a way that was an imaginative experience to feel the Ajanta caves virtually.
The lecture was conducted through the google meet platform.

The Department of Economics, S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Allahabad organized one day national Workshop on "Budget 2020-21 and Aspirational India Amidst Economic Showdown”.
The workshop began with the lighting of the Lamp. Prof. Lalima Singh, Principal welcomed distinguished speakers with a bouquet. Mrs. Gunjan Sharma welcomed the guests.
The session started with the discussion on budget by Prof. P.K. Ghosh. Discussing the general ideas of budget, he focused on various deficits enumerated in the budget, mainly the revenue deficit and fiscal deficit and the challenges associated with it.
Mr. Dharmendra continued the discussion primarily focusing on agriculture sector’s growth. He pointed his discussion on data analysis methodology applied in India and various countries of the world and in light of comparative analysis supported Indian government’s methodology.
Dr. Abodh, the next speaker of the session had a balanced view about the budget. As per him, budget being a policy document, more focus should be made on gainful employment and investment should be made in sectors with higher multiplier effect.
Lastly Prof. Manmohan Krishna expressed his views relating to budget 2020. Prof. Krishna had a critical interpretation of this budget stating policies must be more people centre rather power centre.
Introducing with the concept of fiscal illustration, he questioned the efficiency of the expenditures made by the government. It was followed by an interactive session. Dr. Archana Tripathi gave the votes of thanks.

‘‘वैदिक एवं पौराणिक इतिहास लेखन परम्परा’’
भारतीय इतिहास लेखन परम्परा पर प्रकाश डालते हुए बताया कि इतिवृत्त ही इतिहास है। वैदिक काल में इतिहास परम्परा वाचिक रुप में देखने को मिलती है। पुराणों के पहले आख्यान लोकवृत्तांत कथानक के रुप में ऐतिहासिक परम्परा का विशिष्ट अंग थे। साथ ही उन्होंने गाथा नाराशंसी आख्यान, आख्यायिका उपाख्यान के सन्दर्भ में वैदिक एवं पौराणिक इतिहास लेखन पर प्रकाश डाला।
